Dahlonega Georgia Weather Forecast Friday PM Update… *** Rain then Cooler … NO CHRISTMAS SNOW ***

Happy Friday PM Everyone!

Our dying wedge has lived up to normal wedge reputations as the day was foggy and drizzly.  Expect that to continue all night with foggy and drizzle and showers all night long and into Saturday.  A cold front will bring in heavier rain late Saturday morning lasting into early afternoon.  After that we will cool off a bit but nothing too terribly cold before our next weather maker arrives later next week.  So much for those snow on Christmas and single digits shortly after rumors that were flying from other sources.  LOL.  If you want to see snow on Christmas the higher mountains in far NW North Carolina could get a dusting to 1 inch.  Congrats to them!

With that in mind here is the forecast…

Tonight (Friday night)…cloudy with drizzle and rain on and off all night.  Temps slowly rising into the upper 50s.

Saturday…cloudy with morning fog and drizzle giving was to heavier rain showers late morning into early afternoon.  High in the low 60s.  Rain should end 2-3pm(ish).  It could become windy in the AM hours especially for places above 2000 ft.

Saturday night…mostly cloudy with a low near 40.

Sunday…mostly cloudy with a high near 50.

Sunday night…turning windy and colder with a low in the upper 20s.

Monday (Christmas Day)…sun and high clouds and breezy at times.  High in the low 40s.

Monday night…partly cloudy with a low in the upper 20s.

Tuesday…partly cloudy with a high in the mid to upper 40s.

Tuesday night…increasing clouds with a slight chance of rain.  Low in the mid 30s.  Rain could start off mixed with sleet.

Wednesday…mostly cloudy with a slight chance of rain high in the low 40s.

Thanks for reading!

Jason
