So far I’ve recorded a max gust of 34 but the highest winds are yet to come and that window will be between 5-10pm where gusts could exceed 50mph. GA Power has 748,000 people (as of 340pm) without power. Amicalola EMC currently is reporting 70 in Lumpkin county without power.

We are off of Highway 52 West about 1 mile from the Dawson County line, not far from Amicalola Falls. We have lots of rain and the wind is rapidly picking up. We have Amicalola EMC and our power has been flickering. It was completely out for about 2 minutes earlier but came back on. We have tall pines all around our house and are trying to decide if we need to sleep in the basement tonight 😞

We have a tree down way in back; it was one we wanted down though! Lol. We have been fortunate not to lose power yet. A lot of flickering.
