I decided to do a little digging into the history data to find out the record for consecutive days without rain for Dahlonega.  Our last day of official rain was October 7th so today makes 41 straight days without measurable rain.  That is actually a record and it smashes the old record.  If you go back further it’s only rained once in the last 56 days and it was only .45 inches.

Historically speaking the period from September through November is our driest three months of the year so it’s no surprise that the top 11 dry streaks all happened in this window.
