Round 2 was like whoop-de-do.   We did however pick up an additional .30 inches of rain bringing our storm total to 1.24 inches.  The convection in South GA simply robbed the moisture transport to the north so we end up with a lot less than expected.  Sometimes it happens.  I don’t expect that to happen with round 3 however. 

Round 3 arrives sometime near 2pm this afternoon and should last on and off through the evening.  I’m expecting round 3 to give us another inch plus of rain and we still have the threat of severe weather.  Also as you can see from the graphic, the Storm Prediction Center now has us in the 5 percent tornado threat area.  South GA will be the main battle zone as you can see but we still need to pay attention up here especially later in the afternoon/evening.
