Hello everyone!
The hustle and bustle of Christmas has past and now we head towards the New Year! Our up and down weather continues along with our frequent rain chances. The first two thirds of December averaged below normal temperature wise then the pattern relaxed a bit allowing for some amazing warm ups. We just missed 70 on Christmas day. This up and down pattern will continue as we head into next week but signs are pointing to a possible cooler period out in fantasy land (beyond 5 days).
A cold front will move through tonight that contains no cold air but just drier air. This will allow for sunshine on Wednesday. Then a real cold front moves through early Thursday giving us more rain and a few days of below normal temps and sun. There is a slight chance of a few snow flurries Thursday night…no accumulation. Best chance to see any will be along and north of the spine of the mountains up towards Suches, Blairsville and Blueridge. The chance is small so don’t hold your breath.
After that our next rain maker arrives late Saturday lasting through Sunday night and possibly longer giving us plenty of beneficial rain. New Year days looks like a rain out!
Thanks for reading!
Jason
Yay for more rain ☔️ I know y’all still need it
Yes. Still 20+ inches below normal for the year.
Not good at all. Take anything you can get right? 🙂
When will the rain start Saturday (best guess?)
Probably after 6pm
But that will likely need adjusting since it’s still 4 days away.
Rats — First Night Dahlonega…
We’ve got time for this to adjust…No worries just yet.
Should I bring an umbrella to the Peach Drop ?
Best bet is to be prepared. 4 days out timing says near midnight arrival in ATL. I’m sure that will change…Too far out
i just wish the humidity would drop-I can’t afford a decent dehumidifier.
I would like to place an order for snow please. 🌨️❄️☃️
and most of this has already changed, lol…
Um…Not really…
What are you referring to?
My weather app changes like every few hrs. 😉
I’m still holding my forecast. No need to change anything at this point. 🙂
Nothing severe overnight I hope?
Absolutely not.
