We’ve had a very wet start to February. Through the first 11 days we’ve received 7.12 inches of rain. That ranks as the 4th wettest start to February on record. Expect our wet pattern to continue over the next week or two at least.
Here are the top wettest starts to Feb:
1921 – 7.62
1982 – 7.54
1955 – 7.29
It looks like winter has gone already. 😓
Remember, this is Georgia. Never count winter out.
Ouch…never want a drought and remember having snow about 4 years ago at this time.
Wow – hopefully that drought map will show all of North Georgia in the clear when the new one comes out Thursday!
It’s not official but my reading here in Yahoola Valley shows 9.54 for February.
Wow!
Nice gauge Bernie.
Could you post more often
I’m hoping winter started early and now ending early. We’re in the NW Lumpkin hills…we could almost tube down our driveway…class 2 rapids. Thanks for the stats.
How much did you receive in this event. The last event
2 more weeks? how can you tell that far out? I’m over this rain.
Just the general pattern supports wetter.
We need some snow here
Haha yes sir I’m at 7.14″. Incredible
Funny it’s that close
Jason when do u think this same ole same ole wet soggy pattern will change? Going on 2 weeks and long term doesn’t have it clearing any time soon. :/ I miss the sun!
Unfortunately not any time soon. Probably a few more weeks of more clouds than sun. Boo…
what is causing this? App says sunny tomorrow 🙂 I sure hope so!
Ridge in the east and trough in the west
Just the opposite of Dec and January.
Deep flow out of the SW. Keeps rain chances above normal along with temps
Wow…did that wet pattern every work out. I wish it wouldn’t have. LOL
amen… so looking fwd to some SUN! ☀️
I hope with El nino gone, our spring is quiet with not much severe (tornadic) weather.
11.63 total for Feb here on Auraria Road – Tim .
Beat me by over an inch. Nice!
Haven’t heard from you in a bit Jason…can you advise on rainfall stats for the month of February? Thanks in advance.
